Avian Flu and Premix Safety

Over a decade ago, in 2014, Food Fur Life was created in the middle of an avian flu outbreak.  Avian flu is not new and the highly pathogenic form dates to 2005. The testing protocols of not just avian flu, but the numerous contaminants common in the food chain supply of our human grade manufacturer and the human grade source materials used in our premix were primary factors in our relationship decision.  We wanted our pets to be safe.

Sourcing and testing protocols of this manufacturer have kept humans and pets safe since its founding. Our manufacturer has never had a recall for any reason in their multi-decade history of production for national and international organizations, not just small companies like Food Fur Life. It is their extensive testing of each ingredient and for each batch: upon receipt of ingredients, after mixing the ingredients, and again after bagging the ingredients, that ensures safety from start-to-finish. The cost of this peace of mind is reflected in price of the premix.
